The music program at St. Andrew's exists to exalt God through the gift of music. All ages are involved in our worship services. The choirs offer an opportunity for the practice of stewardship, the giving of one's talent. Indeed it is a stewardship training ground. All choirs learn about the music and liturgy of the Episcopal Church as they develop their talent.
The adult choir sings at the 11:00 AM service throughout the year. They also sing an occasional Evensong (Evening Prayer). The only requirement for membership is the ability to sing a melody in tune and make the commitment to be at rehearsal on a regular basis. Rehearsals are on Thursdays at 6:30 PM.
This group meets on Wednesday afternoons at 3:00 PM for 30 minutes to begin the experience of singing and combining music and movement.
Rehearse once a week and sing at the 9:00 AM service twice a month. Rehearsals are on Wednesdays at 3:45 PM.
Rehearses on Tuesdays at 6:15 PM. Membership is open to middle school and high school students and adults. Some basic music reading skills from piano lessons or band are helpful. The group plays once a month at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM services.
We also invite those with instrumental ability to join the organist in providing opening voluntaries before the 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM services.
Come join us.
