The Episcopal Church considers baptized persons who have formally joined the parish to be members in good standing. Confirmation is required to serve on the Vestry or in a Diocesan elected position. Adults wishing to become members of St. Andrew's On-the-Sound either as baptized or confirmed members should call the church office.
Baptism at St. Andrew's is held during the regularly scheduled Sunday Eucharist. Anyone wishing infant or adult baptism should call the church office to schedule date and time of baptism.
Confirmation is the adult reaffirmation of Baptismal vows, and signifies full acceptance of the gifts and responsibilities of membership in Christ’s one, holy, catholic and apostolic church. Candidates are presented to the bishop for confirmation at his regular visitation. Classes are offered regularly in anticipation of the bishop’s visits.
